Software Update June 2020

June 04, 2020
In this release, we've implemented a new email designer! This new tool allows you to create great looking emails with ease. See below on how you can add this to your software package. We've also included a few other release items. Check out all of the details and more, below.

New Easy to Use Email Designer

With a global pandemic happening, your virtual presence is now more crucial than ever. Good news! We've implemented a new way to design and format email templates within the software. With this add-on enabled, you’re able to develop great looking emails with an easy to use drag-and-drop designer.

One of the biggest benefits of the Email Designer is an ability to drag and drop information directly from the database. We've developed specially integrated content blocks that immediately drop in content from your database, such as new members, hot deals, jobs, blog posts and upcoming events.

You can also take it for a test drive today under Communication>New Email to Multiple Members. Click on Edit with Email Designer. There you can check it out in person, even saving a template so that once enabled, you'll already have an email ready to go. Read more here.

Here are a few more benefits to using this integrated email designer:

  • Like all other emails sent out of the software, emails sent with the Email Designer are recorded on each recipients’ communication history.
  • Managing your mailing groups is done within the software, so no need to sync your contacts or maintain a separate mailing list in another location.
  • It’s supported by our #1 rated customer service

UserVoice Item!

Benefit Tracking (What is Benefit tracking? View training info and support wiki instructions)
  • Adding and editing Benefit items (Setup>Setup Benefit Tracking) is now easier due to a new ability to sort your benefit items within a package. Click on the column title to sort the Benefit Items by that column. Click a second time to do a reverse sort. See where.
  • When registrants select to use their available benefits on an event registration, the drop-down where they select their benefit item is now labeled more prominently.  The message indicates that a discount is available. Once discount is selected, the benefit item description automatically appears underneath to provide additional information about the discount. See example.
  • When assigning a benefit package to a member, either one-off to a single member or when assigning in mass thru Setup>Assign Benefit Packages, you are now protected from accidentally entering an End date that is prior to the Start Date.
Event Registration
  • The event confirmation email now includes the confirmation message in the email sent to additional attendees, not just the primary registrant. Now you can include Zoom or other virtual meeting invitation info in the confirmation message and be assured that all registrants will receive it, not relying on the primary registrant to forward it. Enter the confirmation message on the Events>Advanced tab in the Messages section.
  • The default font on the event Invitation has been updated to Tahoma, a web-friendly font family, so that various email viewers will retain the specified formatting, spacing and style when viewing the invitation and not need to match to a similar font on it's own.
News Releases
News Releases on v4 public modules will now include the year in the posted date, not just month/day.

GrowthZone Pay
We now have an ability to import stored payment profiles so they can be used with a GrowthZone Pay account. Switch to GrowthZone Pay from and retain the stored credit cards (payment profiles) that your members have been using with your account to pay for their memberships, events and other invoices. Contact to learn more.

Custom naming
If you've given a custom name to your Hot Deals or MarketSpace module, it will now also display this custom name in the Task List too in addition to the left-hand menu.

Advanced Report Builder
A new report titled "Active Members with Logins Disabled" is available under Reports>Advanced Custom Report Builder in the Start with a Template section. This can be run periodically to proactively check if there are active members that accidentally got marked and set as not able to login. If you found any on this report, you could go to Members>Web tab and remove the "Disable All Login Accounts" checkbox in the Web Participation Options area.

Integration Settings Control Panel (ISCP)
  • Modules tab: When entering the public webpage introduction text for any of the public modules pages, you'll now have an option to view and edit the HTML source code, making it easier to populate this with bullet points, links or other eye-catching formatting. See where.
  • MIC tab: Validation has been added when entering hex color codes so that you are kept from entering an invalid color code on the MIC style options.
