Software Update April 2021

This release includes updates to offer more options for reporting, an updated visual appearance in the left-navigation, and two event-specific features that will make things easier when managing your events.
Easier to know where you are

You'll notice a new background color appearing in the left-hand menu as you move your pointer and when selecting a new menu item.

The current menu selection color and hover background color have both been updated.
  • Your current location will always display with a light gray background.
  • When you hover over your next selection, you'll see a black background on that item.
This updated visual in the left-navigation will help you see more quickly which module you are currently in while still allowing easy viewing of the next module you are looking to select.
 
More Fields in Advanced Report Builder

We've added more reporting fields available under Advanced Custom Report Builder. Check out all the data you can report on now.

New Lifetime Total fields: (See example on the right)

  • Last Dues Invoice Date, Ref Number, Invoice ID
  • Last Dues Payment Date, Ref Number, Invoice ID

Top Level fields: See where.

New Billing totals by Fee Item Type: See where.

Add to Calendar Option More Friendly

Every place that you find an "Add to Calendar" button you'll now see very specific selections to match the most popular calendar options:
  • Google
  • Yahoo
  • Outlook
  • Apple calendar
Locations that were updated include:
  • Event details page from the Share link (v4 Events only)
  • Event registration final step
  • Event confirmation email
  • Event reminder email

Event Confirmation Includes unique Identifier - Use as a ticket #

Do you need a unique identifier in the event confirmation email? A ticket number?

Now when sending the event confirmation (as long as you are sending the "ticket format" confirmation email*) you'll have the attendee ID automatically displayed as part of their ticket/confirmation. See screenshot on the top right.

Use the “Event Roster with QR Code" report if you want to see the attendees with their attendee ID. See screenshot on the bottom right.

To find this report you can search for it in the Reports module but the easiest way will be to access it while on the Guest List of the event. Click the reports icon in the upper left corner above the guest list and choose "Check-in Roster with QR Code/Attendee ID". See where.


Tip! To streamline check-in even more, you could also use the mobile app to check-in your guests using your phone or tablet to scan the QR code in their confirmation email. See support wiki.

* To enable the "ticket format' email confirmation select the 'ticket format' choice under the Registration & Billing Preferences on the Events>Fees tab. See where.
Other Updates
  • Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is now enabled for all UK and Ireland customers on GZ Pay to meet upcoming deadlines.
  • Additional ADA Compliance updates were completed on the remaining public modules including Groups, Blog, News Releases, Communication, Info Request, and Maps. The other modules (Membership Application, Login, Contact Us, Events, Hot Deals, Member to Member Deals, Directory and Jobs) were updated earlier.  

Providing new features and more benefits is something that GrowthZone is committed to. Software release features are often generated from your feature requests. Those requests may be combined or adapted to fit with other requests or in response to industry related changes. We listen, evaluate, and implement based on greatest impact, most-requested, ability to integrate, and time-saving implication. In evaluating the benefit of one software release over another, please understand that sometimes the updates have required significant programming time but are not always visible in tangible terms.
